To ensure that metallic parts are properly bonded. It checks if an electric circuit is in fact a complete circuit.

Procedure:
The test is conducted after all electrical wiring and the bonding of all non-current carrying metal parts are completed. Connect one contact from the tester to an accessible ground, and the other contact to each part being tested. The test indicator should indicate “on” if the part is bonded.
