6.2 Architectural

There is much that can be done architecturally to mitigate the effects of a terrorist bombing on a facility. These measures often cost nothing or very little if implemented early in the design process. It is recommended that protective design and security consultants are used as early as possible in the design process. They should be involved in the site selection and their input should be sought during programming and schematic design.
