Course Description
In this course the student will understand the basics of wood in construction including common woodworking techniques for construction. This course is designed to bridge the gap in knowledge between engineers & building trade professionals.

- Describe the types, sources, uses, and characteristics of the common woods used on various construction projects
- Explain the various methods and joints associated with woodworking
- Identify the different types of fastening devices
- Identify common trade terms
